 Our
youth group (ages 7th grade and up) have started a new
Group Bible Study program called W.I.S.E. which stands for
Worship, Interaction, Service and Education.
They
meet on Sunday nights (at different times depending on the activity
for that night) and have an activity for one of those categories
each time.
They
have held two sessions on Worship so far and are
learning new songs and picking out which Study Guide they want to
use.
They
have had one Interaction meeting so far and met for
pizza and bowling on that night. They hope to invite others from
the community to join them on these nights.
At
their first Service meeting they planted mums outside
the church building and cleaned out the flower beds for Fall. In
the future, they would like to help any in the church or community
who need help with chores.
Last
Sunday was their first Education meeting and Allen
gave a lesson on Acts and followed up with a Bible Jeopardy session
based on their study.
At
each meeting they will have a short devotional with various leaders.
They
are currently working on designing a logo and getting T-shirts
printed for the group.
